On July 13, 2026, the Prefecture Apostolic of Battambang, in collaboration with Karuna Battambang Organization and Caritas Battambang, conducted a humanitarian relief mission under the leadership of Bishop Enrique Figaredo, Apostolic Vicar of Battambang; Mr. Tum Chhiet, Director of Karuna Battambang; Mr. Kosal, Head of Caritas Battambang; and Mr. Ly Sok, Deputy Governor of Svay Chek District. They were joined by brothers, colleagues, and staff members of Karuna Battambang.
The delegation visited and distributed relief supplies to 546 families affected by the ongoing conflict in Sla Kram Commune, Svay Chek District, Banteay Meanchey Province. Each family received 25 kilograms of rice and noodles. The delegation also visited six families in their homes to offer encouragement and support, and donated 500 kilograms of rice to the Buddhist monks at Boeung Sno Pagoda and Jork Pouk Pagoda.
On this occasion, Bishop Enrique Figaredo offered words of encouragement to the families facing hardship, urging them not to lose hope, to have confidence in the Royal Government of Cambodia, and to continue encouraging and supporting one another during this difficult time.
