The Battambang Catholic Community joyfully celebrated a Mass in thanksgiving for the 236th anniversary of the Battambang Catholic Community on January 5, 2026 (1790–2026). The celebration was held under the presidency of Bishop Enrique Figaredo, Bishop of the Apostolic Prefecture of Battambang, with the participation of many priests, brothers, sisters, and a large number of faithful from Catholic communities throughout the Battambang Diocese.
On that occasion, Bishop Enrique Figaredo officially appointed Father Glen Dias to take responsibility for the Battambang Catholic Community, and he also expressed his gratitude to Father Carlos Alfaro for his past service to the Apostolic Prefecture of Battambang.
