On August 9, 2026, the Catholic Community of Siem Reap joyfully welcomed 24 candidates who received the First Step and five candidates who received the Sacrament of Confirmation. The ceremony was presided over by Bishop Enrique Figaredo, Bishop of the Prefecture of Battambang, with the participation of many priests, brothers and sisters, and a large number of Catholic faithful.
In his homily, Bishop Enrique said:
“Let us encourage one another and listen to one another. Let us have the courage to follow God’s will. Today, the Church invites us to learn to remain in silence, to listen to the Word of God, and to put it into practice.”
